ACYOA Jrs. Fall sports Weekend Took Place at the Armenian Church of the Holy Translators on October 7 - 10, 2011

The Armenian Church of the Holy Translators 2011 ACYOA Juniors Sports Weekend took place over Columbus Day Weekend on Friday October 7 to Monday October 10, 2011. The ACYOA Juniors were all so excited to be hosting this year's Sports Wekend.

Annual Picnic on September 10, 2011

Iron Chef Armenia

On May 14, 2011, The Armenian Church of the Holy Translators presented the 5th Annual food festival "Iron Chef Armenia" which is is a celebration of Armenian Culture. The event started at 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Lecture on Historic Armenian Cilicia at the ACHT

On April 7 at 7:00 p.m. The Armenian Church of the Holy Translators and the National Association of Armenian Studies and Research (NAASR) honored to co-sponsor an evening with Professor Richard Hovannisian from UCLA, AEF Professor of Modern Armenian history. He will offer an illustrated  presentation of his trip to historic Cilicia, entitled "In Search of Historic Armenian Cilicia". Prof. Hovannisian thrilled a packed audience in our parish hall in 2009 on his first trip to our ancestral western Armenia. This "Next Chapter" presentation will prove to be an exciting sequel based on his recent trip to Cilicia. Please join us for a great opportunity to hear one of the most prominent historians in our community. There is no charge for this event in our church fellowship hall and it will be followed by light refreshments.

Vartanantz Celebration - Sunday, February 13th

The historic Vartanantz epic will be celebrated at our parish on Sunday, February 13 with a special presentation for the community. A unique program called "Great Figures in Armenian History" will bring the characters to 2011 through the "ACHT Time Machine" and allow us all to gain insight into their valuable place in our church history.  Our "guests" will be represented by mystery actors and will "travel" from 451 in Armenia to be with us in our fellowship hall. Our children will have ringside seats and will be able to ask question of our time travelers. You won't want to miss this opportunity to celebrate Vartanantz!  Come meet Vartan and others.  Their appearance will take place in the fellowship hall immediately following Badarak.


Welcome Banquet for Fr. Vart and Family - Sunday, February 27th

On Sunday, February 27, the Parishioners of the Armenian Church at Hye Pointe will officially welcome Der Vart and his family.  The Primate, Abp. Khajag Barsamian will preside over the Badarak and Banquet.  Surpazan has granted us permission to close our church that Sunday so we can support Der Vart that day at the Hye Pointe Parish.

The banquet will be immediately following Divine Liturgy at 1:00 p.m. at Michael's Function Hall, 12 Alpha Street, Haverhill, MA.  Five course family-style dinner with roast sirloin and chicken piccata.

Donation $40.00; Ages 13 to 17 $20.00; 12 and under gratis. 
Please R.S.V.P. by Feb. 17, 2011.
